NSX TUNER TIME ATTACK! 2007 Time to mark your calenders! (or not if you are a poser)

REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN!!

Dali Racing is putting on an ALL NSX WEEKEND event this fall at FIREBIRD RACEWAY with the help of COZ MOTORSPORTS in PHX and the NSX-CA.

Where: to be held on the Firebird "West Test Track"  - 1.1 Mile Road Course, incorporating 11 tight turns and a 3/8 mile straight-away. The elevated pit area overlooking the track is 8 feet higher than the surrounding terrain, the course itself has no signage which provides a generic background for film companies and continuous observation of test cars.

What: The basic format is an NSX only open track/ride and drive weekend with a "Time Attack" session held on the 2nd day.

Who: So far we have to following entries for the Time Attack portion of the weekend:

Dali Racing (BOOSTZILLA)
GruppeM (Alex's RED ROCKET)
Turbo Labs (J&M Black Beauty)
TEAM NSX (Mark Allan's RTR kit)
Autowave (COZ Motorsports NSX with an Autowave prepared CT blower)
Factor X (maybe - they are booked for SEMA, I'm beating on them to put together a 2nd car)
Applied Motorsports (some secret homebrewed 600HP SC kit)
Driving Ambition (I heard 1 SC and 2 Turbo cars might show....)

more tuners as we hear back from them... Roll Eyes

---

All the the other NSX Tuner guys that we could think of were invited to come out to showcase their stuff -- this could be kinda fun.

Everyone that has an NSX is also welcome to come out and run in the other track event run groups and watch the Time Attack event, spend some
time bsing with the participating vendors, hanging out etc.

The track event participant list will be limited to 42 TOTAL cars to give everyone out there enough elbow room to have some fun.. but the
number of non on track participants is not, so plan to come out and support your favorite! (please no betting - we are not in LV  Grin )

Sessions will be 30 minutes long, giving you several HOURS of track time per day, with entries divided into in three run groups;

beginner (15 cars) with passing allowed on the main straight only.
advanced (15 cars) with passing allowed on all three straights.
Time Attack (12 cars max) with unlimited passing.

All the usual safety precautions will be taken, flag crew, on site ambulance, fire crew etc.

There is pretty much unlimited space for spectators in the paddock as I remember from the last time I was there..

Every registrant - whether in the on track or spectator groups will get a goodie bag stuffed with an event t-shirt and other goodies provided by our sponsors (to be determined as we squeeze them)

Coffee and carbohydrates will be provided for breakfast both days, and box lunches will be provided both days so you do not have an excuse to
miss the drivers meeting or be late for your afternoon run group sessions.

***

Every tuner-vendor car in the Time Attack portion of the weekend will be a listed on the website as a sponsor, and on the event t-shirts provided
by the NSX-CA.

LMK if you want to be added to that list.

Event hotel info and registration info etc will be posted up soon, the NSX TIME ATTACK event
website will be updated every Weds.

 Cool

Anyways - just keeping myself amused in my old age.... Grin

Here we will have details on the product specials and raffle items available only to the Time ATTACK event entrants!

RACING BRAKE & DALI RACING

Racing Brake and Dali Racing have teamed up to offer a special deal on their OEM Caliper BBK Kits to all the TIME ATTACK event attendees. These come in three styles of race ready rotors, and are generally in stock all the time:

"The Dali-RB OE caliper +2 NSX brake kits are value priced alternative upgrades to our more expensive aluminum caliper big brake kits. Combine your 1991-2005 OEM NSX caliper with a "BIG BRAKE" sized 324mm X 28mm front and a 330mm X 23mm rear 2 piece directional internal vane race rotor = you ROCK! Requires 17" front wheels." (DOH)

These BBK kits are already the best performance for the price deal going as well as the easiest to fit to the car of all the BBK's around! To show their support for the event, RB is throwing a set of Hawk HPS Pads (a $110.00 value) and Dali is throwing in free shipping anywhere in the continental USA! (or free delivery to the event) for any kit sold to anyone signed up for the event. This offer, coupled with the always included in our kits Liter of Ate Blue and a tube of OEM Silicone Caliper Grease, plus our everyday rock bottom pricing = you can't beat the deal! I know, I looked around.  Shocked

Q: What do I need to do to take advantage of this offer?

A: Simple, just sign up for the TIME ATTACK event as an on the track participant at any level! (Group A, B, TA or spectator) This offer is for PAID participants in the TIME ATTACK event only, no "I want one just because I'm special" people need apply. Those of you clever enough to figure out that the $50 you might pay to sign up as an official spectator (details here) still saves you at least $125.00 off the regular net price even if you blow off coming, get to pick up the kits at the event - ie non "on-track" participants do need to be present to take advantage of this great deal.

FALKEN TIRE

Falken has promised at LEAST one complete set of 452 or 615 model tires (your choice of sizes) to be raffled off to the event participants. If we can get a few more sets out of them we will. You do need to be present to participate in the raffle.

****

PANN AUTO

PANN Auto has promised a Short Ram intake of unspecified origin for our participant raffle. I'll make sure it is worth winning.
You do need to be present to participate in the raffle.

MORE goodies as we collect them from our sponsors. Have I mentioned that you do need to be present at the event to participate in the raffle?  Grin

I know that you are currently more focused on making sure that you hit every "back to school sale" announced by Fry's and getting a tan out by the pool right now than a track event in the fall, but lets get serious for just a moment. The NSX Time Attack track event is coming up, and you will not want to miss it. November 3rd & 4th might sound like a long time from now, but trust me on this one, if there is anything you need to do to your NSX before then, it will be here before you know it and it is time to sit down and create your game plan to attend so that you do not miss out on all the fun.

There are enough able bodied NSXers in PHX alone to take every available slot in the event, so if you are interested in coming out to Firebird with us - whether just to hang out or let it all hang out on the track - don't put off signing up until you find out it is too late!

This will be the BIG NSX-CA event of the year, (even if it is not in California) and I'm spending 100% of your 2007 your dues on it, so you might as well come out and see what they are being used for... Wink

EVENT UPDATES:

    * TPR Magazine will be covering the event, so you might get your 15 nanoseconds of fame in their pictorial.
    * Tech inspections for you local participants from the greater PHX area have been arranged to be available free of charge through Advanced Automotive Performance starting October 1st.
    * BZILLA Stage 3 might be dropping by to breathe some fire on the track.

more info as we get it in.
